egyptian peopleI have spent enough time living and traveling in Egypt. What I like to say is that I really enjoyed my time in that wonderful country. Egypt is a very big country with a population more than 100 million people. Egypt is a Muslim country. However, there is a few number of Christians and Jews in ARE. I spent much of my time in Cairo so let me say some words about this wonderful city. Cairo is a huge megapolis that consists of several different districts. These divisions are really very huge. One of them may be bigger than a city in another country. One of my Egyptian friends told me that even if you walk two years without stopping, you won’t be able to pass all Cairo. I was very impressed by the size of this city. Every district of Cairo differs from other districts. There are some luxurious areas of Cairo such as Sheikh Zeid and other areas which are less privileged. Cairo is the most crowded city of Egypt.

As I have already told you, I enjoyed my life in Egypt and I love its people for a multitude of different reasons which I will describe below. My life there was more interesting and exciting than my whole life in the country of my birth. I don’t want to use a word “motherland” because it may be associated with a country which you love and have some warm feelings to.The  country of my birth is not a country which I love and respect, and therefore I called it ”the country of my birth.” I want to encourage all of you to visit Egypt. Every traveler should mark this country as “a must visit country.” Let me give you a list of 5 conclusions regarding Egyptian people, which I have made during my life in Egypt.

1) EGYPTIAN PEOPLE ARE THE KINDEST PEOPLE IN THE WORLD

Egypt is very famous for its kind and generous people. I appreciate this feature of Egypt. You may visit very beautiful and developed countries but if their people are not friendly enough, you won’t like the whole county. If you travel or live in Egypt, you will surely avoid this problem. There is no need to remind that a traveler is in need of information during his trip. Even if you have a map, you will always need local people to assist you. In Egypt, you won’t have any problems with it. If you ask something from an Egyptian, he won’t just show you the direction, he may even provide his car to help you.

2) EGYPTIAN PEOPLE ARE VERY HOSPITABLE

Hospitality is one of the most important features of Egyptian people. You will feel it in Egyptian airport. When you meet new people in Egypt, they will surely invite you to their houses. In Egypt, I received more invitations than in the country of my living.

3)    EGYPTIAN PEOPLE ARE VERY RESPONSIVE

I mentioned that Egyptian people are very responsive. If you have any problems, you may be sure that Egyptians will not leave you alone. They will do everything in order to help you. If you live in a country for a long period of time, you will face different types of problems. I also had them, but Egyptians were always striving to help and assist me.

4) EGYPTIANS ARE VERY CURIOUS

Egyptian people are very curious. You will receive hundreds of different questions every day. If you are a foreigner in Egypt, everybody will try to get to know you. You will receive loads of question. The most popular question I received was “Where are you from?” So if you do not sit all the time in your hotel, you will find that almost everyone wants to speak with you. You will repeat the name of your country hundred times a day. At the end of every day, I was tired of answering. Sometimes I had to tell things like: “Man, I am sorry. I don’t want to talk. Do you know how many times a day do I answer these questions!” Usually, Egyptians understand that you bored and they won’t insist.

5) EGYPTIANS ARE VERY COMMUNICATIVE

You will see this feature of Egyptian people as soon as you arrive in Egypt. They are extremely communicative and social. People speak with unknown people in buses, metros, streets and everywhere. While American and European people may be sometimes very closed, Egyptians are always open for communication. In Egypt, you won’t have a lack of communication. Sometimes you may be even tired of it.

6) EGYPTIAN PEOPLE ARE VERY EMOTIONAL

Egyptians are extremely emotional people. You feel their emotions in everything. They are very emotional while speaking and explaining you something. European and American people are very restrained and they rarely show their emotions. Egyptians are opposite to this type of mentality. They express the highest level of emotions in love, anger, and hatred.

7) EGYPTIANS LIKE SMOKING HOOKAH

Yeah, that’s right. You will see hookah everywhere. Smoking is very popular in Egypt. If you are a lover of hookah, Egypt may be a very suitable place for you.

8) EGYPTIAN MUSLIM GIRLS WEAR HIJABS

That’s true. I have not a single Muslim girl who does not wear a hijab. Every Muslim girl wears a hijab. Influence of Islam is very strong in Egypt. If you see a mature girl without a hijab, you may be sure that she is a Christian or a Jewess.

9) EGYPTIAN PEOPLE ARE VERY RELIGIOUS

That is true. Egypt is a Muslim country. Religious scholars are highly respected and appreciated in this republic. All people here are very religious. Egyptian people are more westernized than Saudis. However, Egyptians study their religion and strive to follow every rule and dogma.

10) EGYPTIANS ARE VERY RISKY DRIVERS

That’s right. As you know Cairo has only four traffic lights. Have you ever heard about this thing? This huge megapolis has only four traffic lights. I was aware of this fact before visiting Egypt. Nevertheless, there is no a huge number of traffic crashes in Cairo. It means that huge city roads can maintain safety without any traffic lights.

Egyptians are very risky in driving. Their emotional mentality impacts every aspect of their lives. Arabian hotness even influences their style of driving. I can assure you that the way they drive cars is very dangerous. I was really afraid to be in their cars while they perform unimaginable things on their roads.

I hope you will visit Egypt and I am convinced that you will love its people!
