Blogging is a real profession. Of course, for some people, blogging is a mere hobby. However, there are loads of professional bloggers, for whom, blogging is the only way to make a living. As a good doctor has everything essential to perform his job wherever and whenever he is, a good blogger needs to have some necessary instruments and tools all the time. Our life is the most sophisticated and unknown thing in the world. Our life circumstances change all the time, and you never know what will happen to you tomorrow. Today, you are sitting in your office or at home and new articles for your blog. You cannot be sure that you will be able to do the same thing tomorrow. Nobody has guaranteed us that our life will be regular and convenient. For that reason, a professional blogger should be always mobile and ready for unexpected circumstances and occasions.
In this article, I am going to suggest 4 tools that are essential for every blogger.
1) A LAPTOP
A professional blogger cannot survive without a good laptop. When I am at home, I am using a stationary PC with a separate monitor, a keyboard, and a system block. However, not all of time is spent at home. I may be away from my flat for a long time. So how should I manage to continue blogging without a laptop? If you want to start blogging professionally, a powerful laptop is the first thing you should buy for your business. A laptop is utterly important for the bloggers who frequently move from one place to another. Travel bloggers won’t survive without a laptop.
It is necessary to state that our life gives us loads of different surprises. Today, you may be at home working on your stationary PC. Tomorrow, you may be in a hospital because of different reasons and circumstances that are out of your control. We should be ready for everything that may happen to us. The bloggers, who live in huge cities, spend a lot of time on a road. I have been living in a big city for a long time. Every day I was spending at least 4 hours on a road. Living in a small city might be more convenient because it saves a lot of your time. If you are the blogger who appreciates his time, you may work on your blog while you are on a road. In two hours, you can write a good article, or you may spend that time building new backlinks for your blog.
A laptop is definitely the most important instrument of every professional blogger.
2) WI-FI ROUTER
The Internet connection is another essential element that makes blogging possible or impossible. Of course, if you do not have the Internet connection, you may still contribute to your blogging activity by writing your new articles. When I started blogging, I did not want to launch my blog without any ready posts. Therefore, I spent one month by simply preparing my articles in Microsoft Word. However, if you do not wish to waste any of your time, the Internet should be always with you. If you spend all your time at home, you may be sure that you have no reasons to worry about the Internet connection. On the other hand, if you travel much and move from one place to another, you need to have something that will provide you with the regular Internet connection.
WI-FI router is the best solution in this situation. Of course, there are some specialists who would recommend you to use satellite Internet. Even though, I would not advise you to deal with satellite Internet because it has a lot of disadvantages. WI-FI router will give you everything you need in order to write, edit, and publish the content of your blog. WI-FI router is a small device, and therefore, it is very mobile and convenient. It won’t take much place in your pocket or in a handbag.
3) A NOTEBOOK AND A PEN
A professional blogger should always have a notebook and a pen in order to record new blog ideas that come into his mind. Inspiration is unpredictable, and you never know when it will come. For that reason, be ready to record your new thoughts anytime they come. I found that having a notebook and a pen is the best solution if you do not want to lose new ideas. You do not necessarily have to carry a big notebook in your bag. Choose a small notebook that will be fit to your pocket and you will be always ready to welcome your inspiration.
4) A BUSINESS CARD
The majority of people might think that a business card is not necessary for a blogger. However, I will strongly argue this statement. A business car is one of the most important things every professional blogger must have in his pocket. There are several reasons why I think that a business card is essential for every professional blogger.
a) EXPOSURE OF YOUR BUSINESS
Bloggers write for different reasons. For some bloggers, blogging is a mere hobby. Other, manage to make tons of money by regular blogging. Impressive income reports of famous bloggers have proved that blogging can be a very profitable business. Thus, we should not deny that one day, you blogging project might become a serious business base. Therefore, you should start treating blogging very seriously right now. Strive to establish a brand for your blog.
The best method to achieve that goal is to have good, representative business cards. Your business card should look elegantly and serious, functional and descriptive, glamorous and elite. I think that a good-looking business card presents us and our business better that it can be done through long conversations and introductions.
If you want to expose your blogging business and establish a famous brand, be ready to have a few business cards wherever you are.
b) AVOID INCONVENIENCES AND MISUNDERSTANDING
I will be absolutely right if I say that sometimes, bloggers look like spies. Usually, bloggers are very smart people. A stupid person will never become a good blogger. Clever personalities always look very suspicious. Especially, if these people always type something on their laptops and carry WI-FI routers in their pockets. I think that travel bloggers are the most suspicious for government agents. You never know whether a person is a travel blogger or a foreign spy. Loads of travel bloggers have problems abroad just because some suspects they are spies. I heard a story of a Russian backpacker who has been 25 times in foreign jails because local authorities suspected him to be a terrorist. The backpacker is a Muslim with a huge beard. Beardy men always look very suspicious. Travel bloggers may look like spies and potential terrorists. Traveling in dangerous countries with dictatorship regimens may be extremely risky.
I think that a good, representative business car may help in such inconvenient situations. You can always present your business card as a passport telling about your blogging activity. A business car given to a policeman or to a government agent will destroy all suspicious thoughts.
On your business card, insert the URL of your blog, and thus, people will have all information about you and your activity. Hence, you will avoid loads of dissimilar problems.
