youtubeVideos are significant elements of all informative materials. Whether your blog is dedicated to travel, business, or science, videos are necessary to make your content more vivid. What is more, people love watching videos. While reading, a person needs to emphasize his attention at the materials. He needs to think, analyze, and make his brain work. Usually, people do not like doing it. They love everything simple and easy. Therefore, most of the Internet users prefer watching videos than reading. For this reason, most of the bloggers try to include some videos in their posts. Moreover, videos make a very good impact on a website’s SEO. Search engines love blogs filled with a lot of visual content. Videos always look very attractive and interesting. It is not a secret that video posts attract more web traffic than simple textual posts filled with images. These are the most significant reasons, why all of us should use videos in our content.

While thinking about adding video to your blog, you are choosing between two options. You can upload the videos directly on your blog, or you can upload them to YouTube, and then, embed the videos to your blog. If you look up the Internet, you will see that most of the people will recommend you uploading your videos on this Internet video giant, and then embedding them. I have never seen a single blogger who would advise the opposite thing. All professionals suggest us using You Tube in our blogging business. Nevertheless, I am against of this method. I think that it is more effective to upload your videos directly on your blog. Embedding your videos from You Tube has both advantages and disadvantages. In this post, I will prove why you should directly upload your videos to your blog.

1) NOBODY GUARANTEES YOU THAT YOUTUBE VISITORS WILL  COME TO YOUR BLOG

Mainly, bloggers recommend you embedding your videos from YouTube for traffic purposes. Of course, YouTube is the second most visited website on the Internet. It has tremendously gigantic web traffic. Millions of people visit YouTube every day. For this reason, people assume that YouTube is the best web traffic provider on the Internet. This saying might be true to some extent.

When a person recommends you to upload, and then, embed your videos from YouTube, he thinks that the people, who watch your videos on YouTube, will come to your website. This is a common assumption. Analyze your activities. How often do you visit personal websites from YouTube? To be honest, I never do it. If a person came to You Tube, this means that he is interested in watching a video. Here is a question: “Why should this person be motivated to visit your website?” If your videos are already uploaded on YouTube, a person can easily watch them there.” It is more probable that most of the YouTube watchers will not come to your blog. When you upload a video on YouTube, you can watermark your video and give a link to your personal blog, and you can insert a text link under your video. Nevertheless, nobody guarantees you that YouTube people will come to your blog.

All of the online entrepreneurs want to monetize their blogs. For this reason, all of them are looking for web traffic. They assume that when they upload their videos on YouTube, tons of people will start coming to their blogs. Here is what I want to say. If a person can watch your videos on YouTube, he will not bother himself with visiting your blog. Thus, you will lose loads of monetization opportunities.

2) UPLOADING YOUR VIDEOS ON YOUR BLOG GIVES YOU MORE MONETIZATION OPPORTUNITIES

As I have already proved, nobody guarantees you web traffic from YouTube. Therefore, uploading your videos on YouTube will never resolve your traffic problems. If you have some unique video materials exclusively uploaded on your blog, people are interested and intrigued to visit your blog. A person has a concrete objective to visit your blog in order to watch a particular video that cannot be found anywhere except on your blog. This is how you can drive web traffic to your blog. Millions of YouTube videos are already embedded in millions of websites. Why doesn’t YouTube lose any of its web traffic? Why don’t people visit those websites that have embedded all the YouTube videos!? Why don’t people merely forget about YouTube if its videos are already embedded to other websites!? People will never do these things. YouTube is very convenient for them, and therefore, people will not waste their time visiting secondary blogs.

When people are not motivated to visit your blog, you will lose your web traffic. If your video is already uploaded on the largest video resource, people do not need your blog. You want to make money through CPC, CPM, and CPA ads on your website. Also, you do not want to lose a great opportunity to sell some of your affiliate products on your blog. This is why you need web traffic. While using YouTube, you lose all of these fruits.

3) MOST OF THE HOSTING SERVICES OFFER UNLIMITED SSD SPACE AND BANDWIDTH

Some people say that you should never load your blog with MBs and GBs of videos. This is why they recommend embedding your videos from YouTube. Today, most of the hosting services offer unlimited SSD space and bandwidth. SSD is a solid-state drive (SSD, also known as a solid-state disk) is a solid-state storage device that uses integrated circuit assemblies as memory to store data persistently. In simple words, most of the hosting companies give you unlimited space to store as many videos as you wish. If you want to upload millions of videos on your blog, it won’t costs you anything. My blog is hosted on TMD hosting. It is definitely the best hosting company can be found on the Internet. Since you have purchased a hosting plan, you are already given unlimited space to store as much data as you wish. Thus, you can forget about limiting yourself.

4) YOUTUBE INTERFACE LOOKS TOO FAMILIAR FOR VISITORS

There are loads of gorgeous video players you can upload on your blog. They will definitely make your blog look more stylish and exclusive. The largest video tube has not changed its player for several years. It is very common. People are already tired of it. For me, it is more pleasurable to watch videos on some original players. By uploading your videos on your blog, you make it look more luxurious and extravagant. None of us want to resemble others. Therefore, we strive to be exceptional. You should not use YouTube is you want your videos to look truly impressive and captivating.

5) EMBEDDED YOUTUBE VIDEOS IN YOUR BLOG DO NOT GUARANTEE YOU ANY SUCCESS IN SEO

Some people say that Google prefers YouTube videos in its SERPs. This saying is absolutely true. Google monopolized the online video market. When you type a video search on Google, you will definitely see some YouTube videos at first. This is obvious. Google is a very powerful corporation that supports its own products. It is an absolutely normal situation. I would do just the same thing if I was Google.

What do these “professionals” recommend you? They claim that by embedding videos from YouTube, your blog’s SEO will improve. They claim that your website will get better ranks in SERPs. This is nonsense. Let me prove it. Even if your YouTube video ranks on the first page, first of all, Google will rank your YouTube video page. Nobody told you that Google will rank your blog’s post where the video is embedded in. As always, Google will give its preference to YouTube. Therefore, you should not hope and rely on Google.

Right now, I am concentrating on textual content. As you see, I have no a single video on my blog. Nevertheless, in the nearest future, you will see loads of high-quality videos on my web resource. I can assure you that I will directly upload them on my blog. I won’t use YouTube for a multitude of the above-given reasons.
