BRAND FAILURES BY MARC HAIG
I am seriously interested in brand building and management. Therefore, I devour all the good books written on this topic. Recently, I read ‘Brand Failures: The Truth About The 100 Biggest Branding Mistakes of All Time’ by Marc Haig.
Marc Haig is the author of several books on marketing and branding. In ‘Brand Failures: The Truth About The 100 Biggest Mistakes of All Time’, the author studies, and analyzes the most famous and biggest stories about brand failures. A company might be over exceedingly successful and famous, but nobody is exempt from mistakes. This book is about branding and marketing mistakes. Marc Haig tells about popular companies and some of the disastrous branding mistakes these businesses had made. Some of the corporations mentioned in the book are Coca-Cola, McDonald’s, IBM, Microsoft, and others. In other words, through branding mistakes of other companies, the author teaches us branding.
I enjoyed reading this book for several reasons. This book is unique. The structure and style of this work don’t resemble other branding books that I have read. This is due to the very idea of the book. Marc Haig doesn’t tell us what to do to improve and strengthen our brands, but instead, he tells us what not to do to avoid brand failures. I am sure that committing disastrous errors is very important to preserve the success we have already achieved.
‘Brand Failures: The Truth About the 100 Biggest Branding Mistakes of All Time’ by Marc Haig is a must-read business book for marketers and brand professionals of all levels. Whether you are a beginning or a professional brand specialist, this wonderful book will surely improve your understanding of the branding science.
