happinessHappiness is a tremendously versatile concept. This term can be explained from philosophical, biological, neurobiological, chemical, and many other points of view. It is absolutely impossible to give the exact definition of happiness. To discuss the topic of this blog post, we will first need to identify what happiness is. What is more, it is much more difficult to identify the exact definition of a happy life. For someone, life in loneliness can be considered a happy life. Others cannot bear loneliness at all.

From biological, neurobiological, and chemical points of view, happiness means the presence of particular hormones and neurotransmitters that are responsible for the sense of pleasure, satisfaction, and well-being. Testosterone and estrogen are some of the hormones that impact our ability to feel good. As for the neurotransmitters, they are dopamine, endorphin, and serotonin. These are the key brain substances that cause the sense of pleasure, euphoria, and happiness.

There are different things that release dopamine, endorphins, and serotonin. Eating some delicious food, making physical exercises can trigger the release of the above-mentioned neurotransmitters. Dopamine is also strongly linked to our sexual satisfaction. While having sex, big amounts of dopamine are released. This process makes us feel happy and satisfied.

In my opinion, happiness is a sense of well-being and satisfaction caused by particular neurotransmitters in our brain. Thus, by triggering these neurotransmitters, a person can cause a feeling of happiness regardless of the tools he uses to do that. Sex releases dopamine in the brain. Eating releases dopamine too. Heavy physical exercises are known to cause happiness. Hence, happiness has loads of sources. Sex is not the only thing that gives us a happy life.

Even though it is possible to release dopamine by the use of food, traveling, physical exercises, and other things, I am sure that a happy life is hardly achievable without sex. Sex is a tremendously powerful instinct we should never ignore. Although sex is very important for having a happy life, I believe that it is still possible to achieve happiness without sex. There are loads of various things in our life that give us pleasure. Enjoy all aspects of your life, and you will definitely have a happy life.
