Pablo Escobar: My Father by Juan Pablo Escobar

Pablo Escobar: My Father by Juan Pablo EscobarPablo Escobar will live in history forever. For some people, Pablo is a saint. For others, he is the greatest villain the world has ever seen. No doubt, Pablo Escobar is a very controversial personality. I have read several books about Pablo Escobar, and I always learn new things about him. His life resembled an action-packed blockbuster film. ‘Pablo  Escobar: My Father by Juan Pablo Escobar’ is surely one of the best books about Pablo Escobar that have ever been written.

Juan Pablo Escobar is the only single son of the infamous drug lord Pablo Escobar. After the death of his father, Juan Pablo Escobar, his mother, and sister settled in Argentina. Nowadays, the family still lives there. ‘Pablo Escobar: My Father’ is a book that reveals a lot of unknown things about Pablo Escobar. At the beginning of the book, Juan Pablo Escobar tells about their family affairs, conflicts, and problems with Roberto Escobar (Pablo Escobar’s brother), etc. Then, he tells a story about his father from his childhood till death. There are a lot of very rare and absolutely unknown things mentioned in this book. Juan Pablo tells about his father’s habits, daily life, hobbies, his criminal activities, and many other things that are unknown to wide publics. At the end of the book, Juan Pablo tells readers about the pressure and consequences he and his family have faced for being a family of the world’s most notorious drug lord.

I loved this book, period. The readability of this book is excellent. It is not too big. The narration captivates you from the beginning. It is like a thriller book packed with a lot of information from real life. I couldn’t stop reading it until I finally finished it. I will continue reading new books about Pablo Escobar, but this book is definitely one of the best books I have ever read.

I highly recommend this book to people interested in the history of drug dealing in Latin America, the history of Columbia, and Pablo Escobar. The book tells a great deal about Columbia’s political system. If you are a curious reader interested in history, politics, and of course, if you are interested in the personality of Pablo Escobar, then, this is the best book you can read.
