THE DAY OF THE JACKAL BY FREDERICK FORSYTH
The Day of the Jackal by Frederick Forsyth is one of the most thrilling and captivating thrillers I have ever read in my life. A professional killer gets a contract to kill one of the world’s best guarded and protect presidents. The contract hitman meticulously plans each of the steps in the assassination operation and does his best to eliminate his target. This killer is anonymous. He has never been on the radar of intelligence and security services. Nobody knows his face. The story is packed with action, mystery, suspense, and detective.
Before reading this book, I watched a movie featuring Bruce Willis. To be honest, the movie was not as captivating as the book. I enjoyed reading this thriller novel very much. ‘The Day of the Jackal’ is a professionally written work with loads of unexpected twists and direction shifts in the plot. Frederick Forsyth is a genius in the field of realistic fiction.
I recommend this book to readers who are into realistic spy novels. I think that women won’t like this book. This novel is very dark, serious, and almost documentary-like. I know that women don’t enjoy reading such books. On the other hand, men will surely fall in love with the darkness and thrill of this book. It will catch your attention from the very beginning, and you won’t be able to put the book down until you finish reading the last page. I am so excited to read other books by Frederick Forsyth.
