Tower of Basil: The Shadowy History of the Bank that Runs the World by Adam LeBor

Tower of Basil: The Shadowy History of the Bank that Runs the World by Adam LeBorAmong all the existing conspiracy theories, the “The Hidden Government” theory is surely real. An international conglomerate of trillionaire bankers set a direction in international politics. I love reading about conspiracy theories, and especially, about the power of banks. ‘Tower of Basel: The Shadowy History of the Secret Bank that Runs the World’ by Adam LeBor will tell you a lot of new things you have never heard about.

Adam LeBor is an author, journalist, and literary critic based in Budapest. The author writes for such famous and popular media giants like The Economist, The Times (London), Monocle, and a lot of other well-known publications.

‘Tower of Basel: The Shadowy History of the Secret Bank that Runs the World’ tells about the origins, history, management, ideology, operations, and politics of the world’s most powerful bank that controls all central banks around the world. BIS (The Bank for International Settlements) was created by the governments of Great Britain and Germany in 1930. The bank is situated in Basel, Switzerland. All the assets and meeting of the bank members is a big secret. This bank is a very shadowy organization that isn’t under the control of any government in the world. The book is very detailed and packed with tons of different information.

This book is nice. I have read a lot about the Illuminati, the Bilderberg Club, Masons, Rothschilds, Rockefellers, and Morgans but I have never heard about BIS (The Bank for International Settlements) before. Thus, this book was something new for me. I learned a lot about the origins, history, members, the founders, and the rulers of the bank. At the same time, this book is filled with too much information. Somehow, it was a little bit boring. To bee honest, I wasn’t patient enough to finish. The overload of information given in the book made me finish reading it in the middle. For other readers, this very disadvantage might be very appealing.

If you know nothing about BIS, then, this book will be an eye-opening work for you. If you already know something about this bank and you are looking for a book with detailed and meticulous research and analysis of this bank, then, this is the best book that you will ever be able to find. I am sure the author put a lot of effort and hard work into the research part of this book.  On the other hand, if you are easily bored when you see aa lot of numbers, dates, and unfamiliar names, then, this book isn’t for you. ‘Tower of Basil’ is a great read for a very demanding and curious reader and researcher.
